Topics vary and we have seen Tristan da Cunha Volcano period and Gough Island Post Office, Dead Countries, A Canal based Postcard Display, The Tuppenny Blue, Tokelau, The Introduction of Uniform Postage Rates in Edinburgh, Penny Black Anniversaries, KUT A new issue is born 1954, De la Rue printing technology, 1960 to 1963: the Katanga Crisis, Damaged in Transit, Mails under London, Campaign Mail from the Napoleonic Wars, Interrupted Mail, Canadian Expeditionary Force – the First Contingent, What a waste! Coping with Paper, Crimean War Postal History, Kent Postal History, Albert Einstein, Ottoman Turkey, The MacRobertson Air Race, The ten Princesses of Wales. the British Occupation of former Italian Territories – the Dodecanese Islands and Virtual Visits by both the Pretoria Philatelic Society and The Sheffield Philatelic Society. We have also enjoyed a Philatelic Quiz.
Our next Meeting, to be held on Tuesday 6 October, 2026 (at 10.30 am), will be Aphrodite’s Island, by Jim Wigmore.
